Bardstown Barn

Oil
16"x20"

A little break from the flat brush, this is a work, I wanted to complete from the Bardstown paint-out back in October. I enjoy driving the back roads and discovering an interesting subject to paint. This was late in the day with nice long shadows to break up the foreground field and road.

More amazing work. Getting them up quick huh! Your colors are amazing, and nice find on the barn. I also enjoy your Sunset Reflections painting. The shapes you achieve are awesome. Can't wait to see more!

I appreciate your comment on my blog the other day. I would love to get out to New Harmony for the workshop!
Going to see if I can make that happen.

Beautiful painting. I like the sense of light and the shadows in the foreground. The red barn stands out, but is balanced with the touches of red throughout.
