This painting is part of a series of works I will have on display at the Indianapolis Decorator's Showhouse in April. I am working with Kathleen Stevens on the project. The Open House is in April. It is the original Booth Tarkington house on Meridian. The artists that are displaying in her "area" were to read and create a work(s) based on "Penrod" written by Booth Tarkington in 1914. In this 1st painting, I tried to create a mood of the time Penrod would have lived and the open fields that he ran through on his way home, late of course, on a warm October day.
