Edward B. Gordon

The beauty of the internet searches. I came across an artist from Berlin, Germany that is doing a daily painting as well as his studio painting. Please take a look. In addition to his painting, notice his organization of paints and palette knives.

Great piece thanks for finding him and sharing it. I love how the filming, music and his work were all very well orchestrated.

This was a very cool video! I totally agree with his evaluation of the importance of the flow, the rhythm, of painting. I love his fresh style, too. Thanks for sharing!

Jerry--I thought I was signed up to receive your blog whenever you sent one, but now I see I wasn't so I've corrected that.

And WOW I really enjoyed seeing this artist's studio with all the paints, brushes and palette knives organized with a holder for each. His easel is interesting too with a long, rather narrow paint mixing layout and the built in solvent cup.

I agree that the rhythm of painting is a very important thing, and not changing brushes very often does really help. However, on a small 6 x 6" or so daily painting, one shouldn't have to change brushes. His video was very well crafted, couldn't tell if the paintings were.
