Winter Sycamores

Oil on Linen

This is the 3rd work in the Sycamore series of paintings for the Decorator's Showhouse. I tried to capture a typical creek around the Broad Ripple and Williams Creek area after the snowfall. Sycamore trees are still plentiful and seem to glow among the other drab trees. Their upper branches are bone white as the Summer bark has popped off revealing a distinctive look.
