Hawaii Sunset

Oil on Linen
9"x12"

This was the painting I completed after returning from my 2 weeks on the Big Island. We watched the sunset almost every night from poolside in a villa at the Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island.

Jerry, I saw this painting on the blogroll of Ann Rogers and it caught my eye. I recognized the place immediately. I hope you got a chance to visit the local galleries. Your painting is refreshing and romantic!

I am truly envious. Sunshine, Hawaii, and painting now that's a vacation! The painting is gorgeous.
Did you see any of the white rock graffti along the roads? When Jim and I was there years ago I loved the idea of graffti that was evironmently correct. I hope you and Polly left your initals on a road side somewhere.

Paulette...yes we did see the white rock graffiti. Very creative, but didn't have the necessary white coral to do it.
