Three Pixel Trees

Three Pixel Trees

This was one of the paintings for the diptych commission.

This was a major commission and was based on an earlier painting called Pixel Pines.
It took a steady hand, but I enjoyed the outcome. It is a diptych with each canvas being 36"x36"

The Hills Are Alive

This is the painting commissioned for an area business. The motivation for the work was to paint in the style and feel of another painting I did five years ago. I enjoyed the challenge and as seen side by side, new hues have been introduced into the current work.

Quiet Fields

This is the painting I have been working on for the past two weeks Being on a wood panel, I was really able to build up the initial surfaces leaving a fingerprint of raised paint. The next step was to scumble and add several layers of color leaving some color of each previous layer. The last step was a light blue glaze to pull it all together and create atmospheric perspective.

This is one of the two paintings accepted in the 92nd Hoosier Salon Exhibition. I designed the ad to appear in the 2016 Catalog.

I just designed two cards for self promotion. The card is 4.75" square allowing more visuals than a normal business card.

The painting displayed here shows how versatile  a whimsical work would be in children's spaces.

This is the third in a series of paintings that are fun to view and works that would fit perfectly in a children's room or in a children's hospital.

Paul Klee Gardens

Paul Klee Gardens
Oil on Board

The obvious reference to an artist well loved. I had an opportunity to see a number of his works in Vienna several years ago.

Lanterns and Orange

A little departure from the favorite landscape paintings in this still life.

Party Time

A departure from some of the landscapes. Painted the canvas in a first layer red, purple background. That was followed by the lines.
